A480: Anatomy for Medical Imaging

Spring 2020

My Role:

  • Assisted with anatomy labs utilizing various imaging modalities

  • Graded student exams and case-study assignments

Course Description:

This 400/500 level course provides a systematic study of human anatomy, and focuses on that anatomy examined with medical imaging. Lecture presentation begins with an introduction of anatomical terminology, a brief overview of all organ systems, and a summary of the common medical imaging techniques. Students will focus primarily on the gross anatomy of the following systems: skeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, digestive, urinary and reproductive. Students will examine and analyze medical imaging of these organ systems and be able to identify important anatomical features on these images. The laboratory component of the course parallels and reinforces lecture concepts through the use of models, skeletal materials, and computerized/digital medical imaging examples.
