MED660: Neuroscience & Behavior
Spring 2021
My Role:
Assisted in neuroanatomy laboratory sessions for first-year medical students
Facilitated small group, case-study sessions for neuroanatomy and neurophysiology
Course Description
Neuroscience and Behavior (N&B) provides a comprehensive introduction to the structure, functions, and disorders of the human nervous system. Using an organ system approach, this multidisciplinary course integrates a strong foundational basic science framework (neuroanatomy, systems neurophysiology, neuroembryology, and neuropharmacology) with the appropriate clinical disciplines (neurology, psychiatry and neuropathology). Students will acquire the medical knowledge and problem solving skills necessary to diagnose, describe, and treat patients with a broad range of acquired and congenital neurologic and psychiatric diseases, syndromes, and pathologies seen commonly in clinical practice.
